Minister for Environment visited Gamle Mursten

The Danish minister for the environment visited Gamle Mursten on November 19, 2012. She experienced a concrete example of how environmental technology for the improvement of resource utilization of waste can create jobs. Gamle Mursten met a highly responsive Minister, who could easily see the point and the good story connected to re-using bricks. She implied that Gamle Mursten will appreciate the coming resource strategy, presented by the Danish government any time soon, as it will place higher and more clear demands on what happens to construction waste when buildings are torn down. Rather than crushing the materials, the value and quality must be maintained where ever possible. It is, of course, the hope for REBRICK that this tendency will spread to European level and that other countries will see the potential in putting demands on the reduction of waste and thus increase the amount of resources.
